Cindy Barrett - President/Founding Member

Cindy and her husband John are the founders of Christmas In Action in Spartanburg. She has served in many different capacities on the board before becoming President. Prior to moving to Spartanburg, the couple lived in Hartsville and supported a Christmas In Action chapter there. Cindy is employed fulltime as a real estate agent but finds time to be a community volunteer, helping to make Spartanburg a better place to work, live and play.
Paul McKee- Vice President

Paul has been a member of the Board of Directors for several years. He is the Mission Ministries Consultant for the Spartanburg County Baptist Network. His connections with the local Baptist Churches provide a vast volunteer and donor base from which to work from. Paul and his family are members at First Baptist Church Boiling Springs.

A past President of Christmas In Action Spartanburg, Tim is a project manager/Inspector for the Spartanburg Housing Authority. He has been a Board Member since June of 2000 and enjoys helping people in need. "CIA is one of the few non-profit organizations that spends more than 96% of its donations on the actual benefactor. The number of volunteers that come out each re-building day to help and the number of deserving homeowners that have benefited from CIA's generosity is the best testament to its success and makes me proud to say I'm a part of such a fine organization."

Cathi has been a Christmas In Action volunteer since the very first Rebuilding Day in 1997. She has been on the Board of Directors for 6 years and lives in Spartanburg with her husband and 3 children.
Kim Day - Treasurer

Kim joined the Christmas in Action Board of Directors in 2007. She is the Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development at Spartanburg Methodist College. Kim has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University and a Master of Arts in College Student Development from Appalachian State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Roy Suttles- Treasurer

The Accountant for the City of Spartanburg Housing and Development Corporation, Roy joined the board in 2007. Roy is the former Chief Financial Officer of The Westside Club as well as a former accountant at Reeves Brothers, Inc. He is a member of St. James United Methodist Church, where he currently serves as the Chairman of the Administrative Council. Roy is also a member of the Board of Directors of Foothills Emmaus and Shirann Industries, Inc. His educational background includes an Associates degree from Spartanburg Methodist College, a Bachelor of Arts from Wofford College, and a Master's degree from Converse College.
Jim Jones - Logistics Coordinator

Jim is currently serving his third year on the CIA Board of Directors as the logistics coordinator. Jim has been a volunteer with CIA since our inaugural year in 1997 and is an invaluable resource to the organization while giving back to the community in which he, his wife and three children live. Prior to opening Action Builders in 1988, Jim was in Engineering and Construction with Ford Motor Company and Engineering Design with Lockwood Greene. Jim has a BS in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
