• Volunteer teams from churches, businesses, civic groups, schools, and other organizations join together to complete construction and repair projects.
• Want to help but don't have a full team? Call us, and we will pair you up with another group.
• Previous construction experience is not required. Our experienced team captains will teach you everything you need to help complete the repairs.
• Examples of projects: Roofing, Painting, Plumbing, Flooring, Porch Repair, building of handicap ramps, etc.
• Christmas in Action designates $1000 per house for repairs to aid in creating a safe and warm environment for the homeowners.
• Teams are encouraged to raise the $1000 and sponsor their homes if possible, but this is not required. Work day T-Shirts will be provided free of charge for teams sponsoring their house.
• Team Captains are responsible for the following:
• Prior to Rebuilding Day: Evaluating repair needs, submitting a materials list/order to the executive director, meeting with the homeowner, recruiting team members
• On Rebuilding Day:  Designating responsibilities for team members, ensuring the safety of team members on the job site, ensuring home repairs are completed, maintaining a list of material orders and returns

We have ongoing Emergency Repair projects throughout the year. Emergency Repairs projects are immediate needs that arise for our qualified homeowners, in or out of our targeted service neighborhood. These urgent repairs ensure that Spartanburg County residents remain cared for outside of our scheduled work days.
